Why is Bud Light getting cancelled?

In recent news, Anheuser-Busch’s Marketing VP behind the Dylan Mulvaney partnership, Alissa Heinerscheid, has decided to take a leave of absence. Heinerscheid originally wanted to make the brand more conclusive, moving away from the “fratty” image. However, it seems like the brand’s target demogrpaphic did not take this news very well, subsequently boycotting the brand.

As mentioned here, in an attempt to garner more attention from young people, the brand’s plan has seemingly backfired on itself, as it was met with recet backlash. Plus, the brand is now competitng with craft beer so it’s not in the brand’s best interest to lose customers as mentioned here.

Bud Light Stock Crash?
