Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light Ad

In the new video, Mulvaney talks about taking a previous brand deal with a company they loved and posting a sponsored video to social media. Mulvaney goes into detail about how the brand sent them a can with their face on it and how they received backlash for being associated with the brand since the ad went live.

So, why is Mulvaney addressing this controversial post today? Mulvaney explains that what transpired from that video was more “bullying and transphobia” than they could’ve ever imagined. Mulvaney admits to wanting to make this video months ago, because they were scared. Mulvaney also felt personally guilty for what had happened. It’s interesting to note that Mulvaney mentioned the brand in question did not reach out to them during the controversy, as well.

Since everything between Mulvaney and Bud Light happened, Mulvaney has been scared to leave their house. Mulvaney says they have been ridiculed in public, followed, and felt lonely. Mulvaney ends the video by stating that supporting transgender people should not be political. “There should be nothing controversial or divide about working with us,” says Mulvaney in the video.
