Brooke Shields’ kids are leaving the nest – and she is not happy about it.
August 27, 2024- Actress Brooke Shields recently took to Instagram to share an emotional video about her youngest child leaving for college and officially becoming an empty-nester.

“Okay so I sat here a year ago and I watched my big girl leave and I’m back on this porch and I am now officially an empty-nester,” Shields tearfully said.
“But it’s really not easy for the moms. It’s just so weird, so weird that she’s not here. Anyway, it was really hard and then she started crying and then I really started crying,” Shields continued.
“Then I cried a good portion of the ride home. I’m an empty nester. Wow,” Shields said while wiping her tears.

Shields and her husband, director Chris Henchy, welcomed their first daughter, Rowan Francis, in 2003.

Three years down the road in 2006, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Grier Hammond.
Both of Shields’ daughters are now attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
