Kanye West stirred controversies in 2022 for his anti-semitic remarks, but he now seems to have changed his mind. HOLR breaks down what the rapper posted on Instagram and what caused him to declare he likes Jewish people again.

Kanye West Surprising Instagram Post

On the morning of Saturday, March 25th, West shared a poster of the comedy-action movie ’21 Jump Street’. In the caption of his post, West wrote that watching Jonah Hill made him “like Jewish people again.”

The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021, also said in the same post that “no one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred for millions of innocent people.”

Not everyone is convinced that West has a genuine change of heart. Some of his fans are confused and bemused about his sudden declaration, with several others mocking him for a “quarter-assed apology.”

History of Kanye West Anti-Semitism Controversy

West’s Twitter account was suspended in October last year after he tweeted a rant against Jewish people. His tweet cost him his job after several brands, including Adidas, Balenciaga, and JPMorgan, revoked their partnerships with him for his behavior. West has also reportedly lost half of his net worth.

Two months later, West appeared on a right-wing show Infowars and told commentator Alex Jones that he loved Hitler and thought the Nazi party should not receive as much notoriety as it did. Suffice it to say, West’s anti-Jewish sentiment led to his fall from grace.
