Dakota Fanning recently addressed the pressures she faced as a child actress and how she was “uncomfortable.”

Fanning, who began her acting career at six years old, recently opened up about the unsettling experiences she faced in the spotlight as a child.
In an interview with The Cut, Fanning revealed how uncomfortable it was to deal with inappropriate questions from the media during her early years in Hollywood.
Fanning shared she often felt like the public was waiting for her to mess up.
“It makes you feel a little bit guarded… I’m just living my life over here,” Fanning said to The Cut.
Fanning also told The Cut that she thinks she managed to avoid the darker side of child stardom partly because she was “a little too young for it to fully hit (her)”.
“By the time I reached that age, people started to realize it wasn’t the best way to treat others,” Fanning continued.
What was Dakota Fanning in as a Child?
Fanning starred in several films as a child, including the critically acclaimed film “I Am Sam,” “War of the Worlds,” and “Cat in the Hat.”
Fanning also expressed empathy for stars like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears during her interview, who were often scrutinized and “made into examples” by the public.
“If society hadn’t played its part, who knows?” Fanning continued.

Netflix’s newest drama, “The Perfect Couple,” stars Fanning as well as Nicole Kidman, Eve Hewson, Live Schreiber, and Meghann Fahy.
