Bethenny Frankel, the renowned entrepreneur and television personality, found herself at odds with the iconic fashion house, Chanel.
Bethenny Frankel has taken to social media after being turned away from a Chanel store in Chicago, where she was informed that entry was denied reportedly due to her lack of an appointment.

This past week, Frankel shared a video on her Instagram in which she was dressed up very casually in a t-shirt. In the video she wrote, “Chanel said IMMEDIATELY NO.” She used the caption for the video, “Crime is at an all-time high and security is critical. I could easily call one of my salespeople and get on this list. That’s beside the point. I was straight off a plane in a sweaty t-shirt and not dolled up or looking wealthy. There are several ways to convey a message and this way is rudeness and elitist and exclusionary, which is also a crime. In business, first impressions are lasting. I would never want anyone to feel lesser than, particularly from a luxury brand making billions off of people buying into the hype. Chanel is a beautiful brand with timeless classic pieces. Being kind to customers of all socioeconomic backgrounds is also timeless and classic.”

According to Frankel, a security guard barely opened the door and asked if she had an appointment. She responded, “I have a credit card, a bag of Garrett’s popcorn, and a basic purse — am I not allowed to come in at 3:54 on a Tuesday?”
On the following day, she also posted another video in which she looks stunning in a black bodycon dress, pearl headband, and purse. After a brief interaction with the security guards, she was quickly ushered inside. Moments later, she emerged and told her cameraman, “No problem today.”
