Because outside of the music industry, the two ladies have known each other for three decades and through it all- have remained close.
Celebrity friendships come and go and come again many times over the years.
For instance, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and more have all had very public fallouts with close friends.
So, how did Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé do it? Keep reading to find out.

The singers’ have a bond that could only be described as “sisters.” There doesn’t appear to be any secrets between the two.
Coming together as early as the age of 9, the girls were inseparable.
But it was after Rowland had gone to live with the Knowles family that the lifelong bond would form.
Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé revealed key elements to maintaining a strong friendship.
Three big elements in fact.
First is acceptance. And in Rowland’s own words proved that she was able to go to her friends with anything and know there would be no judgement.
“I see them all the time. We are still family. Those are my sisters. I call them when there’s great news, bad news, OK news. I love them to death.”
Their lives and careers took them in different directions but they’re still there, together and supporting each other.
Second is trust which has never been as clear as when Bey said in 2004 with Oprah Winfrey,
“We’ve shared our best memories and moments and some of our hardest moments. And that forces you to get so close that you can’t explain it to people.”
Which brings us to the third element, support.
Whether it’s music, marriage, or the births of their children, they were present in body and spirit for their biggest moments.
“We both shine together,” said Rowland, “That’s my family. We’re there for each other’s children’s births.”
There is no jealousy, double standards, no stepping over each other to get the spotlight. They’re equals in every way.
And despite being compared to Beyoncé over the years Kelly Rowland has never viewed her life that way.
