Christine Quinn Obtains Temporary Restraining Order Against Christian Dumontet: What Is the Situation?

Christine Quinn has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, following an alleged rampage as noted here. The judge approved Christine’s request, which mandates Christian to stay at least 100 yards away from her and vacate their shared Los Angeles home (noted here). The order also prohibits Christian from contacting their 2-year-old son and their two Yorkshire Terriers, Bubby and Teddy, allowing only Christine, their son, and the dogs to remain on the property.

Christian is permitted limited contact with Christine solely for court-mandated child visitation discussions (here). Additionally, the order prohibits him from stalking, threatening, or assaulting Christine and others protected by the temporary order. This decision brings relief to Christine, who sought the protective order in response to Christian’s alarming 48-hour outburst.

What is the Temporary Restraining Order Against Christian Dumontet?

According to legal documents, Christine cited financial troubles as a significant factor in the breakdown of her marriage to Christian, culminating in a disturbing incident last month (here). During this period, Christian allegedly engaged in aggressive behavior, including hurling metal-filled decorative items and dog feces at Christine, along with urinating on the floor.

The final straw came when Christian reportedly threw a bag of glass recyclables at Christine while she was packing, inadvertently hitting their son instead, causing the child distress. Following these events, Christine made the decision to end her relationship with Christian and secure legal protection from him.

The court hearing for the couple is scheduled for April 17 (here), where matters related to visitation, child custody, and property debt payments will be addressed. The temporary restraining order is set to expire on that date, although the judge retains the authority to extend or terminate it based on further developments.
