A video of a dog that commenters believe is acting like an alleged skinwalker is going viral online.

Dog Skinwalker

A new TikTok video posted by user @lawrencesky shows a Goldendoodle dog that is seemingly sitting like a human on the stairs. The caption reads: “trying to find the zipper on my [Goldendoodle] after this.” 

The TikToker is capturing the footage from behind so it almost looks as if the dog is resting its paws on its knees and sitting upright in a seated position- which is definitely strange for a dog. This sparked a widespread debate in the comment section in which people were accusing the dog of being an alleged skinwalker.

As the TikToker comes around the front with the camera afterward to capture the dog’s reaction, the dog seems puzzled. The dog can also be seen with his hind legs on the stairs while his other two legs are situated in front of him, on the next set of steps.

This TikTok video has garnered over 74 million views on the platform after only being posted 3 days ago.

What is a skinwalker?

According to Wikipedia, a skinwalker (or skin-walker) is a “type of harmful witch who has the ability to turn into, possess, or disguise themselves as an animal.” It is essentially a person that is disguised as an animal.

The TikToker posted a follow-up video here captioned “The zipper?? I wish I was kidding…” in which he is playing into the joke and trying to find the alleged “zipper” on his dog.
