Rizzoli & Isles actress Angie Harmon delivered the sad news in an Instagram post on Monday, sharing several photos of her late dog, Ollie, including one that said “[r]est in peace sweet Ollie,”

Harmon, 51, alleges that after delivering her food, an Instacart driver fatally shot her dog, Ollie. In her Instagram post on the incident, Harmon alleges the driver was a man “shopping under a woman’s identity named Merle,” Harmon shared a photo of the account in her Instagram story.

After delivering the food, Harmon alleged the driver shot Ollie while she and her daughters were home. The driver allegedly said “yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did,” She said the loss of their dog has left her and her family “traumatized” and “devastated,”

Per a related article, Instacart released a statement expressing they’re “deeply saddened and disturbed” by the fatal shooting, and they’ve “immediately suspended” the driver’s account.

The retail delivery company ended the statement by saying they were fully cooperating with the local police department and are “in direct contact with the customer [Harmon],”

The investigating department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the driver told them “he defended himself” from a dog attack “by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog,” The driver wasn’t charged with a criminal offense.

Harmon alleges in her Instagram post that the driver knew her home’s ring camera wasn’t recording and he didn’t “have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn,”
