Is this controversy bad news for Golden Bachelor fans?
This TikTok video posted by user @thisisdanabowling claims that the Golden Bachelor– Gerry Turner- may not be the “America’s Sweetheart” we think he is based on a recent article by the Hollywood Reporter.

Golden Bachelor Ex Girlfriend
As noted in the TikTok video, a recent article seemingly exposed some things about him that the audience wasn’t aware of. For instance, on the show, he is referred to as a restauranteur. However, he owned and sold a restaurant in 1985 (Hamburger Drive-In) and, since then, he allegedly hasn’t worked in the restaurant business. Instead, he worked in the meat business, was a maintenance man at a mental health hospital, etc. which wasn’t revealed on the show.
As well, on the show, they show Turner as a heartbroken widow after his wife passed away a few years ago. However, the article allegedly exposes a woman that he had worked with at the mental health hospital with whom he was supposedly in a long-term relationship. The article alleges that within one month of his wife dying, he reportedly sent messages to this woman telling her that he is constantly thinking about her. Turner seemingly portrayed, and led others to believe, that he had been previously heartbroken on The Golden Bachelor.

The woman’s full name has allegedly not been revealed, and he supposedly “love-bombed” her and fell hard for her. He also reportedly got her to fall in love with him, as noted by the TikToker. He had her move out to the lake house and they were living together. However, after that, she claimed that a different side of him came out. He was allegedly intense about cleaning, he would make her pay her half of the restaurant bill before they left so he could look like a “man” paying the bill, etc. He then supposedly broke up with her after allegedly stating that she gained an “extra 10 pounds.”
Although there is no concrete evidence to support these claims, what do you think of these rumors?
