Last year, the singer, 27, announced his fans that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. According to Mount Sinai, it “is a painful rash around the ear, on the face, or on the mouth. It occurs when the varicella-zoster virus infects a nerve in the head.” Some of the main symptoms include hearing loss and face paralysis.

Shortly after receiving the diagnosis, Justin Bieber made it public on Instagram. “This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but obviously, my body is telling me I got to slow down, and I hope you guys understand, and I’ll be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so that I can do what I was born to do,” he wrote, as mentioned here.

In September 2022, following a show in Brazil, the Never Say Never singer announced that he needed to take a longer break to focus on his health. “This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio, and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me, and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be OK, but I need time to rest and get better.” he wrote to his fans.
