The established restaurant brand is taking on a new, refreshed look after announcing its “Delicious is in the Details” campaign, and we’re totally here for it!

Say hello to your new go-to for celebrating any and all occasions, because the brand’s fresh, new identity shines through in its inspiring menu changes and dining space upgrades that are sure to impress. We’re breaking down everything you can expect at revamped Moxies’ locations across the nation, as well as the brand’s exciting new partnerships with iconic brands such as Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila and Artizia. 

The popular Canadian restaurant is entering a new era like you’ve never seen before.

Delicious is in the Details 

The restaurant’s new look and feel were unveiled in its latest national campaign, Delicious is in the Details.

Moxies has been a go-to for celebrations, date nights, and evenings with friends for years, and as it ushers in a new era, it plans to continue being the restaurant of choice for celebrating special moments.  The brand refresh comes with an enhanced guest experience and a new menu of handcrafted food and drinks made in-house with only the freshest ingredients. 

“This relaunch does not change who we are at the core. We are the same team, passionate about hospitality, the guest experience, and fresh handcrafted menu items,” says Joanne Forrester, President of Moxies. “This is a pivotal moment in our growth and in defining Moxies as a leading restaurant brand, and we could not be more excited about the journey.” 

One of the more immediate changes guests can expect will be in regards to the brand’s name itself, in which Moxies is dropping the apostrophe and “bar and grill” from its original name.

The refreshed brand identity is being brought to life with a food-first approach. The menu that evolves each season promises guests that they can expect the exceptional. Think, delicious apps, sensationally savoury mains, and unique handcrafted cocktails have all been carefully curated to help you celebrate life’s most memorable moments, big or small. 

The new menu filled with craveable dishes was curated by Moxies Head Chef, Brandon Thordarson, who has been an integral part of guiding the restaurant’s refreshed experience. The new dishes can be described as fresh and elevated which is evident from the moment each dish is served at the table. The vibrant colours, bold flavours, and quality ingredients come together to create a meal that both looks and tastes delicious. 

Interested in what’s new on the Moxies menu? We went to try it out and here are some of our must-try picks:

Appetizers:

  • The Tiny Tuna Tacos are a must. Made up of three tacos that come complete with diced ahi tuna in wonton shells featuring guacamole and sesame soy dipping sauce, they’re the perfect small bite to share (or keep all to yourself).
  • Roasted Tomatoes with Whipped Feta, comes topped with roasted baby tomatoes and fresh herbs and is served alongside fresh-seeded artisan bread.
  • The Tuna Sushi Stack features sushi-grade tuna stacked with seasoned rice, avocado, fresh mango, soy ginger glaze, and spicy may and comes served with seasoned prawn crackers

Mains:

If you’re treating the special someone in your life to a delicious meal, guests can choose from innovative new main dishes such as;

  • Chipotle Mango Chicken, which is made with sweet and spicy dry rub, ancient grains, seasonal vegetables, fresh avocado salsa, and pico de gallo
  • BT’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Chef Brandon’s namesake sandwich and personal favourite on the menu, comes served on a fresh potato roll with a juicy crispy chicken thigh, cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce, and bo ssäm hot sauce.

Desserts:

Celebrating a family birthday or special milestone and want to end off your delicious meal with a decadent dessert? The new desserts are a must (and don’t worry they still serve the fan-favourite White Chocolate Brownie):

  • The Key Lime Pie, has a creamy but light key lime filling on top of a homemade graham cracker crust and comes sprinkled with pecans and topped with fresh whipped cream.
  • The Salted Caramel Cheesecake comes on a pecan crust and is topped with fresh berries and oranges—not to mention it’s also gluten-free!

Iconic brand partnerships

The Moxies glow-up doesn’t stop at the menu or even the restaurant design. As the restaurant has been rolling out its refreshed identity, its aligning itself with iconic brands like Kendall Jenner’s award-winning 818 Tequila and the beloved Canadian fashion brand, Aritzia. 

This past summer, Moxies was named the official Canadian restaurant launch partner of 818 Tequila, with all of its restaurants across the country now serving up signature 818 drinks

One of our all-time fave cocktails from the new menu is the CocoRita, featuring 818 Tequila. This drink is like a tropical escape handcrafted with 818 Tequila, fresh lime juice, coconut puree and topped with an orange garnish—it’s a lighter take on a pina colada and a must-have during happy hour with friends.

Through its new partnership with leading Canadian fashion house, Aritzia, staff, and front of house will don all-new, elevated uniforms that are both stylish and chic in design. These are currently being piloted at the Moxies Langley restaurant, although there are plans to roll out these new uniforms across all locations starting next year.

All of these updates combined make Moxies a must-try for anyone and everyone looking to make the most of their moments, in which Moxies will help them celebrate with great food and even better company.

What’s next?
