Mindy Kaling Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

February 19, 2025 – ‘The Office’-star Mindy Kaling received her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Mindy Kaling, best known for her roles in ‘The Office’ and ‘The Mindy Project’, was honored to receive her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The ceremony was held in L.A. on Tuesday, with Kaling receiving the 2,800th star. The star is located at 6533 Hollywood Boulevard.

As Yahoo!news reported, Kaling thanked those present and said, “I’m Hindu, and we practice cremation, which is a beautiful tradition that my ancestors have done for thousands of years, and so will I. But also, I’m obsessed with legacy. So, sometimes I get disappointed that I won’t have a grave, but this? This is so much better than a grave.”

‘Not Suitable For Work’ To Stream on Hulu

Mindy Kaling also received great news for her new project after having just received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. “Not Suitable For Work”, Kaling’s novel comedy series, was greenlit by Hulu and will be aired by the streamer.

“Not Suitable For Work”’s official tagline explains that the show “centers around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.”

Kaling is the creator of the series, and she will be working together with Charlie Grandy—the show’s showrunner and executive producer.
