Netflix’s hit-series, “MONSTER,” is returning for a second season and a second story: With a new convicted killer – or killers.

August 27, 2024- Netflix has just dropped the official teaser for their upcoming series, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” which will be released on September 19th.

The trailer opens with the Menendez family taking family portraits together, with the mother and father sitting in the front.

The trailer eludes to the female narrator as the voice of the mother, and the male narrator as the voice of the father.

The mother says, “I need to know what’s going on with you and the boys.”

The father replies, “What do you mean?”

The mother says, “I need to know. I don’t want there to be anymore lies between us. I won’t tell anyone.”

The father says, “Stop. I’m going to fix this family.”

A gun shot is heard, in which one of the Menendez brothers says, “We’re on our own.”

The series cast includes Javier Bardem, Chloë Sevigny, Nicholas Chavez, and Cooper Koch.

What is the Netflix Movie About the Menendez Brothers?

The Lyle and Erik Menendez story will be considered the second season of director Ryan Murphy’s hit-series, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”

The first season, starring Evan Peters as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, was released in 2022.

The series won various awards, including a People’s Choice Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Critics Choice Awards.

For the new season, Murphy is now tackling the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, two American brothers who were convicted in 1996 of murdering their parents.

The two brothers cited emotional and sexual abuse from their father during their trial, which The Hollywood Reporter says is hinted at in the trailer.
