According to this TikTok video posted by user @noahglenncarter, there is “something strange going on with Oprah Winfrey’s South African School for Girls.”

As the TikToker notes, Oprah reportedly opened the school back in 2007 and since its inception, it has allegedly seen various controversies. Shortly after the school opened, a matron of the school was supposedly charged with “touching” the girls in an inappropriate manner.  After the crime was realized, Oprah then allegedly fired the headmistress.

In 2011, the body of a newborn was allegedly found in one of the student’s bags. One of the girls reportedly gave birth but there were no charges filed against her after the incident. Other scandals that the school was reportedly involved in allegedly include several students being suspended in 2009 for “S-harassing” their classmates. Now, a new scandal online claims that girls are allegedly disappearing from the school. According to these rumors, several students have gone missing. It is unclear why these rumors were started in the first place, as there are no news reports reporting on girls missing from the school. However, these rumors continue to run rampant on social media sites such as TikTok and Twitter without evidence to support their claims.
