“RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Ross Mathews and some of the show’s Drag Queens try to shut down rumors that they feel robbed by “The Traitors” winning at the Emmys. However, not all of the show’s cast members agree about Emmy’s loss.
TV host Ross Matthews told TMZ that, win or not, it was an honor to be invited to the Emmys. In contrast, “Drag Race” Season 16 stars Xunami Muse and Plane Jane didn’t feel the same about the show’s loss. They told TMZ that after winning the award five of the past six years, the show was “robbed.”. Rumors about the “Drag Race” stars being unhappy started when videos online made it look like they were leaving straight after “The Traitors” won Best Reality TV Show.
Drag Queens Plane Jane and Amanda Tori Meating quickly set the record straight, saying it was just a commercial break, and they stuck around till the end of the show. “It was a commercial break, and the girls wanted a drink,” Queen Plane Jane said. “We all stayed until the end of the ceremony. Take your pseudo-journalism elsewhere.”. Fellow star Amanda Tori Meating also commented, “It was a commercial break are we allowed to go piss, girl.”. So, while the show’s winning streak ended, they weren’t all as salty as the media made them seem.
