Netflix’s Wednesday Returns With Jenna Ortega in Season 2
April 24, 2025 – Murder and Mayhem: Wednesday Addams returns to Nevermore Academy Wednesday Season 2 this summer.
Our favorite unblinking, pigtailed Addams is back. Yes, the wait has been unbearable, but that’s exactly how she likes it: Wednesday is returning with a brand-new season.
This time, fans have even more to look forward to. The star of Wednesday, Jenna Ortega, has been hinting in recent interviews that season 2 will be even bolder than the first, leaning into more of the horror elements.
Netflix revealed that “This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore.”
From the creative mind of Tim Burton, Wednesday Season 2 will see both old and new faces, as Nevermore Academy’s No. 1 teen sleuth sets out to solve mysteries and murders galore.

Wednesday Season 2 Trailer Revealed
All too on the nose, Netflix released the Wednesday season 2 trailer this Wednesday, and it’s already been viewed millions of times.
Joining Ortega on the screen once more are Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) and Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), as well as Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin). Variety also teased that among the new cast-members joining season 2 is none other than Lady Gaga.
The trailer sets the tone for the new season, showing creepy dolls, shadowy figures walking down dark corridors, and Wednesday’s face smeared with inky tears.
“Wherever there is murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams,” Wednesday explains. So, don’t miss out!
Season 2 of Wednesday will be premiering in two parts on Aug 6 and Sept 3, only on Netflix.
