Joey Graziadei Clears The Air On His Instagram. HOLR is breaking it all down below.
The Bachelor season 28 reality star clarified that he is happy and healthy after receiving concern from viewers and followers about the coloration of his eyes. This past Thursday, Graziadei posted a video to his Instagram that broke down his medical situation and when it all began in his childhood.

“I wanted to jump on here really quick and talk about something that I’m seeing a lot of comments about, which is ‘Joey’s yellow eyes,” the bachelor shared in his video. He continued to explain that his journey began back in high school. When he was a teenager, he was “sick for about a week and a half,” so his mom brought him to the doctor to make sure it was not anything serious. Doctors took blood tests which was how he discovered his unique disease.
The bloodwork reportedly came back showing a very high bilirubin count. “That means that there could be something wrong with my liver,” Graziadei said. According to this webpage, Bilirubin is a “yellowish substance made during your body’s normal process of breaking down old red blood cells.” Bilirubin can also be found in bile, which is “a fluid your liver makes that helps you digest food.”
“At the end of the day, I am told that I am healthy,” Joey shared. “It’s something that does affect the whites of my eyes, it makes it have those jaundice levels, which is why they look a bit more yellow”. He continued to say he wants to pay more attention to it going forward to ensure he’s healthy. Joey ended his message by telling viewers “I do appreciate everyone looking out for me and wondering if I’m ok.”
