The new Barbie movie was seemingly “snubbed” during this year’s Oscars nominations.
According to this TikTok video posted by user @dancashio, fans are shocked to learn that Barbie has seemingly been snubbed during this year’s Oscars nominations.

The highest-grossing film of 2023 is currently nominated for; Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrera), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Costumer Design.

However, as the Tiktoker notes people expected Greta Gerwig to be nominated for Best Director and Margot Robbie- who played Stereotypical Barbie- to be nominated for Best Actress. Sadly, this did not happen.
In fact, YouTuber Trisha Paytas claimed that the movie was “way too real” in regards to how Robbie was snubbed but Gosling got a nom for his performance.
