Scheffler is being charged with a felony- second-degree assault on a police officer, according to this related article. Scheffler is also reportedly being charged with criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic as the article goes on to note.

Apparently, Scheffler was trying to drive into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club before he was arrested, as noted here. The article goes on to note that traffic outside the golf course had come to a stop after a man was reportedly struck and killed by a shuttle bus, which happened earlier in the morning around 5 am.
What happened to Scottie Scheffler?
As the article goes on to explain, witnesses reportedly encountered Scheffler trying to drive around the crash scene on a median in which an officer tried to stop him but he kept driving- eventually attaching himself to the side of the vehicle. When the vehicle finally came to a stop and Scheffler supposedly rolled down the window to talk to the officer the officer allegedly reached in and grabbed his arm, opening the car door, and evidently pulling Scheffler out of the vehicle.
Scheffler was then arrested and told he was going to jail.
Scheffler is scheduled to tee off at 10:08 am so it is unclear what will happen as a result of his recent arrest.
