Zedd has revealed that before he dropped his newest album “Telos,” he was “really overworked and burned out.”
September 4, 2024- DJ and producer Zedd recently released his newest album, “Telos,” and exclusively told PEOPLE that he thought his new album would be his last piece of music.

Nearly a decade after his last project in 2015, “True Colors,” Zedd (Anton Zaslavski) has released his third album on August 30th.
“I can make a good song, but 10 of them aren’t going to make a good album,” Zedd told Apple Music.
“I wanted to create something that was meaningful. I wanted to make an album that in 30 years, I will meet a kid who’s like, ‘I heard this album and I wanted to get into music,” Zedd continued.

The album consists of 10 tracks, including special features with singer Bea Miller, Remi Wolf, John Mayer, Muse, and samples from the late Jeff Buckley.
Zedd Quitting Music?
Zedd spoke with PEOPLE about his decision to create the album and how it almost turned him away from music forever.
“Another meaning of Telos is ‘the end,’ and I, for a minute, thought maybe this would be my last piece of music that I would ever release,” Zedd told PEOPLE.
“I was really overworked, I was burned out, and musically I felt like I had poured my entire soul into this album and have nothing left to say,” Zedd continued.
Fortunately for his fanbase, Zedd has changed his mind about his music career and is looking forward to producing new music.
“I had a little week to breathe. I’ve already started writing new music, so I’m happy to say it’s not the end yet,” Zedd told PEOPLE.

The 35-year-old DJ recently took to his Instagram to share his gratitude with his fans.

“Thank you so much for gifting me your patience and giving me the time I needed to feel creatively inspired to craft what I consider the best album I’ve ever made,” Zedd wrote.
“TELOS is from the heart. It is my autobiography. It has every bit of my life in it, from early inspirations to my new favourite artists,” Zedd continued.

Zedd also just celebrated his 35th birthday on September 2nd and decided to post a throwback photo of himself on Instagram to commemorate another lap around the sun.
“Another year around the sun. Thank you all for the love,” Zedd wrote.
