The series started out following along with Will Smith and his journey to get back into the best shape of his life, even better shape than his iRobot days. His goal was to lose twenty pounds in twenty weeks.

Originally Will Smith thought this journey would get him into the best physical shape of his life, but as he began to do so he realized that mentally he was somewhere else. As many people uncover a lot during these types of journeys and Will Smith was one of those people. While training physically and writing his book he discovered out a lot of hidden things about himself. While writing he was unveiling so many stories and truths about himself that nobody has ever known about him.

In the trailer we see Will sitting around a table with his mother, three kids: Trey, Jaden and Willow, and his wife Jada. In this short clip, we hear Will telling his family about a time in his life where he considered committing suicide and we see the distress written across all his children’s faces, especially Willow.

Will Smith states in the trailer that he is going to show the world how little he actually knows about himself. He also shares that Will Smith, as the public knows him, the alien annihilating MC, bigger than life movie star is a construction, a carefully crafted character that was designed to protect himself. It is his way to hide his true self from the world. To quote Will, “to hide the coward”.

Be prepared to relate and to cry during this series. Be prepared to potentially go through your own journey mentally during or after watching this series.

Will Smith is open and honest about his past, present, and future and about who he is. Be prepared to discover yourself as well.

This mini-series will be released on YouTube on November 8th, be sure to check it out!
