After rumours of Spears’ family staging an intervention came about (reported by TMZ here) fans have been speculating about Spears’ health. An excerpt from the TMZ article reads, “Britney Spears has been struggling with her mental health and substance abuse, and both problems are now dire enough that people closest to her planned an intervention.” These claims were reportedly brought to light by “multiple sources with direct knowledge” who told TMZ, as outlined in the article.
In addressing this news on her Instagram account, Spears posted the below post. A line from her caption reads: “As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!!”

A video of Spears talking about her supposedly “dying” in relation to the alleged staged intervention was also circulating on Reddit, in which the popstar states, “I died. I didn’t die people. I’m here, I’m alive. Yeah, I’m very much alive and well.”

Spears’ boyfriend-turned-husband, Sam Asghari, recently denied claims that an alleged intervention was staged and took place. Asghari released the following statement addressing the rumour to Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez as mentioned here:
“An intervention did not occur. My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately,” said Asghari.
Asghari has repeatedly stood by his wife and the constant news updates she is subjected to.
