Steve Carrell Reminisces On The Office In New Podcast

Steve Carrell joins ex ‘The Office’ costars Jenna Fischer [Pam Beesly] and Angela Kinsey [Angela Martin] on their podcast, Office Ladies. In the episode, the actors discuss their time on the show and Carrell-who plays the famous Michael Scott- recalls the very emotional exit from the show.

“I think it was the right…The timing was right, I think for everybody but simultaneously there’s just a sense of joy for me that we had experienced all of this and we were getting… I was getting a chance to take a lap with everybody.”

The ladies agreed, Angela Kinsey added,

“It was just hitting us in waves I remember, We would laugh one minute and then be tearing up the next. But like you said, it was because we’d had such a good run, we’d had such a good time.”

For those who don’t know, The Office is a popular American mockumentary-style sitcom that aired on NBC from 2005 to 2013. The show follows the everyday lives of employees at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, through a documentary crew’s lens.

The show is known for its dry and sarcastic humour, as well as its relatable portrayal of office politics and relationships. The Office has been praised for its writing, characters, and acting, and has become a cultural phenomenon with a devoted fanbase.

Carrell added to the fact, “And the way those last two episodes were structured, it felt very rich to me to simultaneously be saying goodbye as Michael and us as friends in this moment of work together. But, yeah, it was a lot, it was a very emotional thing.”
