Canadians are proud of their roots and this is no different when it comes to clothing. Club Monaco was founded in Toronto in 1985, and has become one of the most thriving clothing companies in North America. Originally, CM was seen as a Canadian brand with elevated basics, but Ralph Lauren thought the brand could have a unique place in the industry. He brought it to New York and acquired it in the 1990s. The brand is now honouring its Canadian heritage by teaming up with the Canadian beauty brand known as The Ordinary from DECIEM. There will be several pop-up stores across Canada and the US for this collaboration.
For those just being introduced to the skincare brand, it’s a clinical cosmetic company with effective technological practices. They stand for “clinical formulations with integrity” that include hair care products, cleansers, oils, serums, sun-care, and more! Kim Kardashian even revealed that she used the ordinary products as part of her skin routine to slow down the skin’s aging process.
The collab launched October 21st at Club Monaco’s Fifth Avenue, Beverly Drive, Bloor Street and Robson Street stores. It’s happening for a limited time, ending at the end of January 2020, so get your hands on some product while you can!
The pop-ups will include fan favourites from The Ordinary including AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 paired with a collection of Club Monaco’s essential wardrobe staples. There will be Christmas gifting sets of the co-branded items within the pop-up stores for the holiday season.
Both brands wanted to make this experience for customers a fun one! There will be classes, workshops a talk series. A known innovator in retail, Club Monaco has been a leader with community involvement since the first Queen Street location opened in Toronto, which featured a cafe as a place where people could interact and connect as part of their shopping experience. Who doesn’t want to get in on the goods for this epic collaboration?!
