Billie Eilish is the name and a new album is the game. On April 27th Billie announced via Instagram that she is Happier Than Ever, releasing a teaser clip of her new sound. Little did the fans know that this clip and title would be the name of her sophomore album which is to be released on July 30th.

Billie is known to break the internet, on March 17th she debuted a whole new look, with a bleached blonde shag hairstyle, replacing her iconic black and green look. Alongside this new look, fans speculated that Billie was cooking up something and that something was this album.
Billie captioned the post, “this is my favourite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it.” Well, Billie so are we. Billie also quickly released a new song off the album titled ‘YOUR POWER’ that debuted on April 29th, including a video directed by Billie herself, shot in Simi Valley. This new song gives us an insight into the album, written by Billie and produced by brother FINNEAS, the song gives us classic Billie vocals, and what sounds like multiple acoustic guitar melodies.
The cover and title of the new album is a very different direction for Billie, as her debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO, had a darker feel and set in black, this album is softer, with her new bleach hair, a beige cardigan and classic font, we can expect this album to be a totally different side of Billie that we haven’t seen.
Not that we are saying Billie needs a change, because let’s be honest, her debut album and her EP are record-breaking and continue to be classics. This is a new direction for Billie, “I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. hope you feel what I feel.”
The album has 16 tracks which include titles like ‘Getting Older,’ ‘Lost Cause’ and ‘Not My Responsibility,’ giving us an insight that this is totally new for both the fans and Billie to experience together. The Grammy award winners Billie and FINNEAS have written and produced this album together in Los Angeles with no outside producers.
As excited as fans are for the new album, it shouldn’t be a surprise as the easter eggs Billie has released lead exactly to the album and its title. With her 3 previous singles, each title track created a statement. “My Future is Everything I Wanted, Therefore I Am, Happier Than Ever.” A very clever move on Billie’s part, and a very happy moment for fans as they realize the growth that Billie has done. From breaking records to winning Grammys and releasing documentaries, Billie continues to grow and each time fans get more and more excited to hear what she is making.
