Britney Spears has been writing her memoir, and fans now know when to expect to read it. The Woman in Me, Britney’s autobiography, will be released on October 24, 2023, according to the singer’s representatives, E! News confirms.

On July 11, the singer posted a video on Instagram that reads, “It’s coming.. my story, on my terms, at last. Are you ready?” The video also featured the book cover, and Britney captioned it “10.24.23,” hinting at the release date.
The memoir will be published by one of Simon & Schuster’s imprints, Gallery Books. Gallery Books Senior Vice President and Publisher, Jennifer Bergstrom, opened up to People about Britney’s upcoming book. “Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery,” she said. “I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year. We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last.” Bergstrom added.

In a recent press release, Gallery Books shared more details about Spears’ upcoming book. According to the press release, the memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.” It will also portray “for the first time her incredible journey (and) strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.”

Britney’s fans were informed about the book for the first time in April 2022 via an Instagram post which was since deleted. “Well I’m writing a book at the moment and it’s actually healing and therapeutic… it’s also hard bringing up past events in my life. I’ve never been able to express openly!!! I can only imagine that I do sound childish but I was extremely young with those events took place.” she wrote in the post, as noted by E! News.
