Britney Spears slapped by NBA’s Victor Wembanyama security

Britney Spears shared on Thursday her Instagram story that she was supposedly slapped in the face by Victor Wembanyama’s security guard. Photos were captured before the time in which Spears was allegedly struck in the face by the NBA star’s security. The photo was taken inside the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The Toxic singer’s husband Sam Asghari was walking towards the Catch restaurant alongside Spears. The photo captures the two approaching the San Antonio Spurs basketball player from behind.

Spears explains the situation in depth and emphasized at the end that she deserves an apology. “I recognized an athlete in my hotel lobby as I was heading to dinner. I later went to a restaurant at a different hotel and saw him again. I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success.” On Wednesday, Britney simply “tapped” Wembanyama on the shoulder to get his attention due to the loud environment. She goes to defend herself by saying, “I am aware of the player’s statement where he mentions ‘I grabbed him from behind’ but I simply tapped him on the shoulder.”

Posted on her Twitter as well, Britney Spears writes, “His security then back-handed me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses [to fall] off my face.” Britney’s intention to share this story is to show the world how much violence goes around and stand up for victims that experience it. She also hopes to receive an apology as she says,  “I have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security, or their organization. I hope they will … .” A source explained that the security apologized later in the evening of the incident and stated that Britney’s team has filed a police report.
