After undergoing in vitro fertilization, or IVF, Chrissy Teigen revealed in an Instagram post on Wednesday that she is expecting another baby.
Chrissy Teigen, who is already a mother to Miles, 4, and Luna, 6, shared her anxiety about telling her children she was expecting a child in an Instagram post on Wednesday. She also discussed the nervousness she would experience after each checkup.
“The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” Teigen wrote alongside a photo of herself showing off her baby bump. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as you can see!) we have another on the way. It’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!” she captioned the post.
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘OK if it’s healthy today I’ll announce,’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” Teigen said. “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and amazing,” she continued.
The cookbook author, model, and wife of John Legend shared a cute ultrasound image on Monday night on her Instagram Story, over a week after they revealed they were expecting again. She captioned it as, “Me hearing the FBI raided Mar a Lago.”
Due to partial placenta abruption, Teigen miscarried the couple’s third child, son Jack, in September 2020. Nearly two years have passed since Teigen revealed that she had a miscarriage in an Instagram post. A few days before breaking the news, she informed her fans that “excessive bleeding” had forced her into the hospital.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio, Legend talked about Teigen’s decision to release pictures of their late son. The performer admitted in the interview that “it was painful and I was afraid to express it.” I believe Chrissy was absolutely correct to advise us to spread the word because I believe it had a significant impact on a lot of people.
“Way more people than anybody realizes go through this,” Legend said in the interview. “They told us they felt alone a lot of times, and us sharing our experience helped people feel less alone and feel like there were other people going through it and there was a community of people going through it.”
“I believe that was a really powerful, sensible decision by Chrissy to share it because it helped a lot of people,” the “All of Me” singer added.
