Disney’s D23 Expo Announced Many Upcoming Projects Being Produced By The Company

August 11th, 2024 – Disney announced many new projects during their fan-filled expo event.

Fans of Disney and its productions flocked to D23 this weekend to get the first insights on upcoming projects. The event, hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown, featured actors and producers from Disney’s brands, such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar.

Many sequels to some of Disney’s favorite movies were announced. Moana 2, Incredibles 3, Toy Story 5, Frozen 3, and Zootopia 2 were all among the animated features presented during the expo. Disney also announced an array of live-action films, including Snow White, Lilo & Stich, Hercules, and a Freaky Friday Sequel called Freakier Friday.

The brands also took the time to introduce actors taking part in some of their content. Marvel fans were excited to see Anthony Mackie. Mackie is the new Captain America in the upcoming movie Brave New World, starting himself taking the mantle of Captain America. The cast of Marvel’s Ironheart also took the stage. Riri Williams will reprise her role as the title character in a series also featuring actors such as Anthony Ramos and Regan Aliyah. Percy Jackson and the Olympians are returning for a season 2 starring actor Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson. The series will follow the 2nd book in Rick Riordan’s popular series. All of those projects are just a taste of what Disney has in store for the future. Fans already can’t wait to see some new characters and familiar faces on their screens.
