Last week we were blown away by confirmation that an early 2000s “IT” couple was back together. Yes, we are talking about Bennifer!  Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally rekindled their romance and there are a few other 2000s couples we would love to see get back together.

The early 2000s were a magical time filled with low-rise jeans, pop-punk and some of the most iconic celebrity couples. Nelly Furtado was unfortunately right when she said that “All Good Things Must Come to an End”, but this does not mean there are not a few couples we would love to see rekindle their romance like Jen and Ben. Let’s look at some of the 2000s most loved couples that should get back together.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

You cannot get more iconic than Jen and Brad. They began dating in 1998 after being set up by their agents, Hollywood romance at its finest. Hollywood’s golden couple tied the knot in July of 2000. After being together for 7 years, Jen and Brad called it quits in  January of 2005. With Brad and Angelina’s divorce being recently finalized, let’s hope for a Jen and Brad reunion.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

After co-starring in arguably one of the most iconic romance movies, The Notebook,  Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling took their on-screen love off-screen. They began dating in 2005 and broke up for the first time in 2007. They got back together for a short time in 2008 but called it quits again. How could you not want Noah and Allie to get back together?

Alanis Morisette and Ryan Reynolds

One of Canada’s most famous couples, Alanis Morisette and Ryan Reynolds met in  2002 at Drew Barrymore’s birthday party. The two hit off right away and were engaged by the summer of 2004. After being engaged for 3 years the two called it quits in 2007.

Kanye West and Alexis Phifer

Kanye West began dating designer Alexis Phifer in 2002 and eventually got down on one knee in 2006. After Kanye’s mother, Donda died from plastic surgery complications in 2007 the pair ended their engagement in 2008 as Kanye mourned his mother. This break-up gave us potentially one of the best albums in music history: 808s and  Heartbreak. Now that Kanye and Kim are done, maybe we will see a rekindled romance between these two.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley

While Serena Vanderwoodsen and “Lonely Boy”, Dan Humphrey, were battling their relationship issues on-screen, the two were falling madly in love off-screen. In 2010,  after nearly three years together this juicy love affair could not handle the pressure and publicity.

Which Iconic 2000s couple do you want to see get back together? Maybe the Bennifer rekindling will be the start of another era of iconic celebrity relationships.
