Manitoba-based brand FREED & FREED has announced that they will be supplying over 10,000 N95 masks amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Starting off as a manufacturer of boy knee pants and one of the few remaining fourth-generation businesses in Canada, the brand and its current owner Marissa Freed, proved that “it’s just a Canadian thing to do.” After being approved to supply the N95 masks, FREED & FREED has turned to helping Canadians in most need. Most notably the brand will be donating masks to those working in healthcare.

The front line workers need businesses to step up and offer their support now more than ever and FREED & FREED is setting an inspiring example. As COVID-19 has swept the world over the past few months, Marissa Freed did not take her responsibility as a clothing brand owner lightly. Instead, she stepped up to the challenge and sought to get approval to make 10,000 masks as quickly and as safely as her business could.

Under Marissa’s direction, FREED & FREED has demonstrated that the fashion industry can play a big role in supporting the front line workers. With news of medical supply shortages cropping up across the nation, the timing of this contribution could not be better.
