Trainer Shares Receipts to Debunk Allegations, Hints at Lawsuit Against Netflix, Bob Harper & Show’s Doctor

August 20, 2025 — Jillian Michaels has issued a fierce response to the new Netflix docuseries Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, calling its claims “egregious” and “filled with lies.” The former Biggest Loser star has publicly denied accusations made about her behavior on the show and signaled a potential lawsuit.

Posting the Receipts

In a series of Instagram posts, Michaels shared what she says are decade-old emails and texts meant to refute key charges made in the doc. She provided messages showing that both The Biggest Loser producers and medical advisor Dr. Robert Huizenga had approved the use of caffeine supplements, and that co-host Bob Harper was aware—or even the originator—of the “stackers fat burner.” She also cited written instructions where she advised a contestant to consume 1,600 calories per day, contrary to the documentary’s implication that contestants were underfed.

Calling the Doc “Egregious and Damaging”

During an interview with TMZ, Michaels labeled the docuseries “so egregious and so damaging” that she feels compelled to take action. She revealed she is consulting attorney Bryan Freedman to consider legal steps against Netflix, Harper, Huizenga, and the show’s producers.

A Professional Relationship Turned Sour

The doc also contained claims from Bob Harper that Michaels never reached out after his 2017 heart attack. She addressed this head-on, clarifying their relationship was professional, not personal, and suggesting it was never meant to cross into friendship territory.
