These projects were announced at the “See What’s Next” event in Rome.

Netflix is home to content of languages from around the world. So you must have come across some Italian shows like Suburra: Blood on Rome, The Trial, Luna Park, Devotion, a Story of Love and Desire, The Law According To Lidia Poët, etc. If you are a fan of Italian or European content, there is a big update for you.

In the “See What’s Next” event today in Rome. Netflix unveiled the lineup of upcoming Netflix original projects. The new films are Il Treno dei Bambini (The Children’s Train) and Fabbricante di lacrime (Maker of Tears) by Alessandro Genovesi.

Il Treno dei Bambini (The Children’s Train) is an adaptation of the bestseller of the same name by Viola Ardone. It will be directed by Cristina Comencini, is known for films like Don’t Tell (2005) and Latin Lover (2015). Don’t Tell was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 78th Academy Awards.

Fabbricante di lacrime (Maker of Tears) will be directed by Alessandro Genovesi, who has directed films like La peggior settimana della mia vita (2011) and My Big Gay Italian Wedding (2018). Fabbricante di lacrime is inspired by Erin Doom’s novel.

The new shows are Storia della mia famiglia (History of My Family) from director Claudio Cupellini and Adorazione, the adaptation of Alice Urciuolo’s young adult bestseller of the same name. Stefano Mordini will be the director.
