No Direction Home – Bob Dylan

Live concert footage and press conferences from the 1960s and a new interview with Bob Dylan are used to draw a portrait of the legendary singer-songwriter. The film also features interviews conducted with some of Dylan’s closest friends – Allen Ginsberg, Joan Baez and Pete Seeger.
Homecoming – Beyoncé
Netflix’s Homecoming, a documentary written, produced, and directed by Mrs. Knowles-Carter herself, features footage of each weekend’s set and dives deep into the symbolism, production and eight-month rehearsal process behind Beychella.
Miss Americana – Taylor Swift
A look at iconic pop artist Taylor Swift during a transformational time in her life as she embraces her role as a singer/songwriter and harnesses the full power of her voice. “Miss Americana” is 85 minutes of translucence with Taylor Swift.
FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened
The disastrous and fraudulent Fyre Festival has been a meme ever since it imploded in epic proportions in 2017 on the Bahamian island of Great Exuma. The festival was marketed to well-to-do millennials and influencers as the most premium and luxurious music festival getaway, and folks bought into it in droves. When festivalgoers show up, it was apparent there wasn’t enough food, water and housing, and big-name artists began to pull out, resulting in its cancellation and the eventual stranding of attendees. The festival’s purported “mastermind” and yuppie narcissist Billy McFarland fraudulently acquired funds for the festival and has since been sentenced to six years in prison.
Five Foot Two – Lady Gaga
There is the Lady Gaga of then – the one who wore meat dresses and lobster hats and then there is the Gaga of now that you see in this behind-the-scenes doc. Gaga: Five Foot Two shows the woman behind the belted anthems in everyday life, her big Super Bowl halftime performance and the places where reality hits hard, like the doctor’s office.
John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky
Yoko Ono spoke about having a large collection of old footage of John Lennon and it was made available in this documentary that explores their relationship and the making of Imagine. This footage is all so intimate it makes sense why Ono had held onto them for so long but for fans it is a gift to see Lennon in his own creative space.
Make sure to stream all of these on Netflix!
