While the singer often shares her life with her children on social media, Clarkson made it clear her children won’t be.

Citing that it can be hard enough for normal kids, but especially with parents who are in the limelight.

“That can be really hard on kids in general but especially kids with parents in the public eye,” Clarkson told PEOPLE on Jan. 6.

“So, I have informed them they’re not allowed to, under my roof, ever have [it].”

And hilariously, the mother of two revealed daughter River challenged the stand in her own adorable way.

By trying to negotiate with her mother.

“My daughter was like, ‘Well, what if Dad lets me?'” she said.

‘Well, you’re there four days a month. Enjoy that.’ And right now, he’s not letting them do it either.”

Aww, we’ll points for trying little lady.

But we can understand why the parents would want to keep them off of social media for the time being.

However, the singer did say that the ban wouldn’t be forever and one day she might hear them out- if they can come up with a solid argument.

“I’ll listen when they’re older, but until they have a solid argument, it’s a no.”

Nice one mom!

Gotta love her style but is the style of parenting a good one? Is it authoritative or authoritarian?

In fact, the mother-of-two opened up about the kind of mother she hoped to be.

And after being awarded primary custody of the children, explained it’s gotten “easier” with time.

“I’m definitely not a helicopter mom. I like that they’re independent, but I’m adamant about my schedule, making sure I’m there as much as I can be,” she explained.

“There’s no perfect parent; I’m definitely screwing up my children somehow! But I’m doing my best.”

Of course, she is. Check out this this link for more on Kelly Clarkson’s parenting style.
