This famous scene takes place inside ‘Northshore Highschool’ at the cafeteria. This day was when the cliques of the school were broken down and this iconic sense set the mood for the school’s social division throughout the movie! This is one of the most well-known scenes that took place at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute.
The “Get in Loser, We are Going Shopping” Mall
Location: Sherway Gardens Mall, Etobicoke
This mall was where the girls would chill after school and get their trendy outfits. This is a mall that Toronto locals love as well! Sherway Gardens is known as being one of Toronto’s finest and most luxurious malls. Ironically, this goes to show that this mall is the perfect fit for the spoiled and privileged ‘plastics’ that wore designer handbags of the high ends stores in this mall!
This shopping day was on “Wednesdays, we were pink!” The girls did some social sabotage on Gretchen’s ex-boyfriend’s new relationship, and watching how that played out is a guilty pleasure of any Mean Girls lover!
The “Cool Mom’s” Mansion
Location: 11 High Point Road, Toronto
This mansion is just a dream. The beautiful exterior remains just as extravagant today. This house sits in one of Toronto’s wealthiest neighbourhoods which is why it made sense for the Lexus-driving, IRL barbie Regina to live here! Visit this exact location and take a picture, although it is gated, you can still see this iconic barbie dreamhouse!
The house where drama queen, Regina George lived and forced her parents to give up their master suite as her room… typical Regina. Here, Cady Heron discovered the Burn Book and got a glimpse of Regina’s dysfunctional yet appealing life. Also, this glamorous place aided in her growing desire and obsession to be a part of ‘the plastics.’ She wishes she had a cool barista and Juicy Couture tracksuit-wearing mom who lets boys come over like Regina’s! Regina’s room was iconic and was the cunning image of her: fully pink, grand and dramatic and very personal with the hundreds of pictures she had up! This is in the master bedroom of 11 High Point Road and you can see the classic windows from the outside!
