The “little hero” took action after his school bus driver passed out, by grabbing the steering wheel and hitting the brakes on a busy road. The boy, Dillon Reeves, is being praised for his actions and telling his classmates, “Someone call 911. Now!”

The bus was allegedly going into oncoming traffic as a result of the driver passing out at the wheel, so the boy’s efforts are being hailed as heroic.

As mentioned in this article, “In my 35-plus years of education, this was an extraordinary act of courage and maturity on his part,” said Robert Livernois, who is the superintendent of Warren Consolidated Schools.

Although Reeves did not respond to reporter requests, his parents Steve and Ireta Reeves, were very proud of him for stepping up and taking charge of what could’ve been a very traumatic situation.
