When did Nick Jonas get married?
As anyone who googled Nick Jonas, knows he married Priyanka Chopra in 2018 and that their wedding lasted for several days.
Firstly, the wedding featured both Western and Indian ceremonies and traditions. So, it’s clearly important to Jonas and Chopra that both they represented their heritage in the wedding.
“It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honours her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honours Nick’s Christian upbringing,” a source told PEOPLE.
Chopra told PEOPLE: “Walking out and seeing him standing at the altar for the first time with the sun behind him was just something out of a fairytale for me.
Nick said of his wife, “From the moment I saw her walk out and a million other moments, ‘Wow’ is the only word that came to mind.”

How many ceremonies did Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have?
As we know, Jonas’s father officiated the Christian ceremony for the couple in Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
They also hosted another pre-wedding ritual the Sangeet. A literal music festival to celebrate the couple. Sounds like great fun!
But, for Jonas, the part that stood out (according to research) was the Jai Mala – The Exchange of Garlands.
“There’s this one moment in Indian weddings where the bride and groom are lifted on the shoulders of their family members and this garland is put on each other,” Nick told PEOPLE.
Adding, “They try to be the first to put the garland on the other. And it’s surprisingly difficult, especially when you have someone as competitive as me and Pri.”
What is the Jai Mala?
The tradition represents commitment, happiness, and excitement. It happens on a stage different from the “mandap” where the religious ceremony will take place.
The groom’s side and bride’s side might playfully hinder each other even going so far as to lift them off the ground. It honestly sounds fun to watch and be part of.
Nick spoke of the experience fondly, saying it was “really heartwarming” and a great way for the two families to connect.
From the readings, it’s easy to see why this was one Jonas’ most memorable moments in his wedding to Chopra.
