As noted in the TikTok video, Rodrigo was finally asked whether or not “Vampire” is about Taylor Swift, as the duo were rumored to be feuding. In the interview with The Guardian, Rodrigo ‘kind of’ gave an answer to the burning question when she stated, “How do I answer this?” She went on to claim, “I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about. I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing. I was very surprised when people thought that.” (Interview here.)
What do you think? Although it seems like Rodrigo skirted around the question slightly, she didn’t outright admit that it isn’t about the famous star.

The pair are allegedly not friends anymore after copyright issues made headlines following the release of Rodrigo’s wildly successful album, Sour. As noted here, Swift was supposedly named as a co-writer on Rodrigo’s hit “Deja Vu” in which similarities were reportedly found to her own song, “Cruel Summer.”
