Pete Davidson Reveals Ink-Free Look Amid Painful Tattoo Removal Journey

A Fresh Start: Pete Davidson Goes Shirtless in New Campaign

February 11, 2025: Pete Davidson is embracing a new chapter—one without his signature tattoos. The Saturday Night Live alum, known for his extensive body art, recently revealed his ink-free torso in a campaign for Reformation, marking a major milestone in his tattoo removal journey. Davidson, 31, was dubbed the “Official Boyfriend of Reformation” as part of the brand’s latest promotional campaign, showcasing his transformed look.

The Grueling Tattoo Removal Process

While the campaign highlights a sleek, clean-skin aesthetic, Davidson’s road to tattoo removal has been anything but easy. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he shared graphic details about the painful procedure.

“They gotta burn off a layer of your skin, and then it has to heal for six to eight weeks,” Davidson explained. “And then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times.”

The comedian, who has had nearly 200 tattoos removed, described the process as far more painful than actually getting the tattoos. “Really think about that Game of Thrones tattoo you’re thinking of getting,” he jokingly warned the audience.

Regrets and Reflections: “I Made a Lot of Dumb Decisions”

Davidson, who got many of his tattoos during a particularly impulsive phase, admitted to regretting nearly all of them.

“I made a lot of those decisions before rehab, so I have the dumbest tattoos,” he told Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts—like a Muppet smoking a blunt, the Tootsie Pop owl smoking a blunt.”

Apart from aesthetic concerns, his tattoos also complicated his acting career, requiring extensive makeup to cover them up for roles. “I never thought I would get an opportunity to act, and I love it,” Davidson shared. “But for some reason, people in movies don’t have tattoos that much.”

Looking Ahead: A Fully Ink-Free Future

Davidson has made it clear that he plans to erase all of his tattoos in the coming years.

“When I’m 40, it’ll all be gone,” he predicted. “Like the chest and back.”

The removal process, however, is slow and arduous, especially for colorful tattoos. “If it’s black and white, it’s a little easier. But if it’s a color tattoo, it takes forever.”

New Update: Pete Davidson Joins New Comedy Project

As he undergoes this transformative process, Davidson is also making strides in his career. Recently, it was announced that he will star in an upcoming Netflix comedy series, set to premiere later this year. The untitled project will reportedly showcase Davidson’s signature humor while drawing from his real-life experiences. With his tattoo removal nearly complete and exciting new roles on the horizon, Davidson is proving that reinvention is possible—both personally and professionally.
