July 3, 2024– TikTok user @sarahmandelauthor’s video went viral recently, in which the former therapist and author had her death announced in the now-viral clip posted to the platform. She created the video which was posted after she passed.

The video has garnered approximately 2.6 million views in one month since being posted on the platform, as noted here in this related article. “If you’re reading these words right now, then I have died,” Mandel’s message can be shown on the screen as the footage begins to roll.

In the 2-minute video that has been making waves, a series of clips and photos show Mandel living life after she was told that she had “weeks to months” to live, in which she wrote this message and it has since been shared online. The video seemingly announces her death on social media in which she claims that this platform helped her “face the toughest days” of this “cancer ordeal.”

Mandel claimed that she was “heartbroken” to be leaving this life “well before” her plans, in which she had a family she would miss greatly.

Mandel also created a memoir called “Little Earthquakes,” which is shown in the viral video.

People poured into the comment section to share their condolences and reiterate how precious life can be.

Mandel was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer back in 2017  and battled cancer for 6 years, as mentioned here.
