DB Cooper Solved?
November 26, 2024- New evidence leads FBI to reopen the case of DB Cooper and for the first time in over five decades, his true identity may finally be revealed.
DB Cooper Story
More than 50 years ago, A man under the alias of DB Cooper boarded a Northwest Orient Airlines flight on a one-way trip from Portland to Seattle.
Once aboard the plane, Cooper settled himself in near the rear of the aircraft. He ordered a bourbon and soda and mostly kept to himself. It was only once the plane was up in the air that his plan began to come to fruition.
Cooper handed a stewardess a note explaining that he had brought a bomb onto the aircraft along with his demands. A truck for refueling the plane, four parachutes, and $200,000 in US currency.
The stewardess demanded to see the bomb to confirm the threat following reading the note. Cooper happily obliged, opening his suitcase and revealing a plethora of wires, blinking lights, and a battery all scrambled together in what may or may not have been a bomb.
Upon landing, all of Coopers’ demands were met. The plane was refueled, the parachutes were acquired, and the entire sum of $200,000 had been met. In turn, Cooper exchanged the 36 passengers aboard the aircraft
Cooper then ordered the plane to fly direct to Mexico City where he said he would depart from the aircraft. But, somewhere over southern Washington, he jumped from the back of the plane. Taking the money with him.
