A red carpet rundown of Netflix’s new star-studded movie, “Don’t Look Up” featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and many more.
Last Sunday, December 5th, the cast of “Don’t Look Up” graced the movie premiere’s red carpet at Jazz At Lincoln Center in New York City.
‘Don’t Look Up’ is Netflix’s new most-anticipated movie of the year. The movie is stacked with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Merryl Streep, and Jonah Hill. Not only that, based on the trailer, it also cameos celebrities like Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, and Cate Blanchet to name a few. The premise of the movie is about two astronomers going on a media tour to warn citizens about an end-of-the-world type of comet approaching Earth. Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo Dicaprio play the two unfortunate astronomers while Merryl Streep plays the fictional U.S. President and Jonah Hill as her son and Chief of Staff. This chaotic movie is satirical science fiction– mostly poking fun at how the media, the government and the population react to climate change.
For a movie as stacked as this, it’s no doubt that we—celebrity fashion fans—are also excited for the red carpet looks.
Jennifer Lawrence stuns everyone in a gold-embroidered silk dress from Dior. The sheer cape sleeves and minimal soft make-up further enhanced Lawrence’s soft glow. This movie will be her first movie after stepping out of the limelight for a few years. During her acting hiatus, the actress had gotten married and is currently pregnant with her first child.
Leonardo DiCaprio wore a classic navy blue suit made by Alexander McQueen. And as an environmentalist, he made sure that his outfit is made with sustainable conscious materials. So it only makes sense that his single-breasted navy McQueen suit is made with sustainable regenerative wool.
Jonah Hill stepped out with his girlfriend, Sarah Brady in matching baby blue Gucci suits. The intention to go matchy-matchy did not stop there as the pair also wore the same teal Manolo Blahnik mules. To finish the look and to keep things slightly different, the couple added brooches to their suits.
Celebrities also flocked the movie premiere’s red carpet. Actress Florence Pugh came out in a flirty Valentino ensemble. She wore a black bandeau top and shorts co-ords, animal print duster coat and orange platforms for a pop of colour.
“Don’t Look Up” is now available for streaming on Netflix.
