What happened to Tori Kelly?

Over the weekend, TMZ announced that singer Tori Kelly had been hospitalized after doctors had found blood clots in her body. According to the source, her condition is “really serious,” as the blood clots were found in her legs and lungs.
TMZ added that the singer had dinner with friends on Sunday when she experienced abnormal heartbeats. Kelly then passed out and was “out for a while.” Following the incident, her friends made sure she would receive medical assistance from a good hospital, so they decided to take her to a facility, Cedars-Sinai, instead of calling an ambulance.
Doctors are still trying to determine whether the singer has blood clots around her heart, and her health is still monitored in the ICU.

After the singer’s hospitalization, her husband, André Murillo, showed his concerns in an Instagram story on Tuesday. Murillo posted a black photo captioned with Kelly’s lyrics from her song Where Do I Fit In featuring Justin Bieber.
“When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sitting in the silence with these insecurities / It’s then you remind me, you’re holding me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side,” the lyrics read.
How do blood clots form?
According to this article, “when a blood vessel is injured, the damaged cells in the vessel wall send out chemical signals. These signals cause clots that slow or stop bleeding.” Moreover, “blood clots are healthy and lifesaving when they stop bleeding. But they can also form when they aren’t needed and cause a heart attack, stroke, or other serious medical problems.”
