What Did Biden Say About President Putin

July 11, 2024- At a press conference today in Washington, DC, U.s President Biden experienced another mishap. As Biden was announcing Ukrainian President Zelensky, Biden said, “And now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine.. Ladies and Gentlemen – President Putin.” The camera panned to Zelensky’s reaction where he can be seen shaking his head. While someone else can be heard saying, “President Putin?.. He can beat President Putin.”

While Joe Biden has been under intense scrutiny during this Presidential race for his mistakes during speeches, this is just adding even more pressure for him to step down. George Clooney also wrote an OP-ED this week, saying Biden is doing a disservice to the Democratic Party by running. He also added that all of the senators and congressmen and women that he has spoken to behind closed doors all agree that Biden should step down. So far Biden has remained steadfast in his decision to continue to run. But this latest incident may be the final push the Democrats want to get him to step down.

Biden Calls Kamala Harris Vice President Trump

In another independent press conference this evening, Joe Biden refers to Vice President Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump. At the same press conference, one reporter asked, Biden about his earlier mishap calling Zelensky President Putin and he defended what happened. Biden admitted it was an error but that the press conference was very successful. Adding, “It was the most successful conference I’ve attended in a long time.”

Who Will Run If Biden Steps Down?

Some of the names that have been circulating as an alternative to Joe Biden are current Vice President Kamala Harris. Another name that has been brought up is California Governor, Gavin Newsom. Although critics have pointed out that Gavin Newsom has a bit of a checkered past so he may not be the best option to run against former President Donald Trump in November.

Following Joe Biden’s performances at the press conferences last week, Donald Trump says Biden should avoid critics and move forward with his campaign. Is this a plot to have a better chance of winning the presidential race? Some suggest trump is encouraging Biden because Donald Trump suffers polling blow against Kamala Harris recently. This indicates that Kamala Harris could beat Donald Trump if she ran against him instead of Joe Biden.
