Women and girls, notably BIPOC womxn, are at heightened risk of gender-based violence, economic instability, and human rights violations. For so many of them, freedom and security are not options. Their own system, community, government, and domestic situation work against them – contributing to issues of abuse, trafficking, poverty, and social inequalities. No matter where they may be in the world, the fact that the home is the most dangerous place for many women and girls to be, is something we cannot -and will not- ignore and tolerate. It is one of the greatest threats to lasting peace and development and has tremendous costs to communities, societies, and their families.
If you are able to, please consider donating to our Women’s Relief Fund by visiting the #GivingTuesday link below. If you would prefer to donate in-kind, you can get in touch with us by email. With your support, we are able to continue our aid efforts in serving local women’s shelters and centers. All proceeds will support their most critical and urgent needs. Your donation will make a direct impact on diverse women and their dependents who need immediate access to new basic necessities (e.g. healthy food, gift cards, menstrual items, baby products), safe shelter, resources, and assistance programs. Our ‘Women’s Relief Fund’ will persist in serving black, BIPOC, visible minority womxn, and their families/dependents, who have or are experiencing poverty, economic inequities, GBV, and marginalization. Any donations made to the fund will continue going to shelters and services aiding WOC. We are grateful for your support during this critical time.
