Women and girls are at heightened risk of gender-based violence, economic instability, and human rights violations. ⁣For so many of them, freedom and security are not options. Their own system, community, government, and domestic situation work against them – contributing to issues of abuse, trafficking, poverty, and social inequalities. ⁣No matter where they may be in the world, the fact that the home is the most dangerous place for many women and girls to be, is something we cannot -and will not- ignore and tolerate. It is one of the greatest threats to lasting peace and development and has tremendous costs to communities, societies, and their families. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣
The full right of women and girls to live free of violence and injustices leans on the protection of their human rights and on a commitment to work together to create a more generous, equitable, and sustainable world. The right to lead a peaceful and dignified life belongs to all. Join us in the work of making this happen – big or small. ⁣⁣

May 5th is @givingtuesdayca – if you are able to, please consider donating to our Women’s Relief Fund by visiting the #GivingTuesday link below. If you would prefer to donate in-kind, you can get in touch with us by email. With your support, we are able to continue our aid efforts in serving local women’s shelters and centers. All proceeds will support their most critical and urgent needs. Your donation will make a direct impact on diverse women and their dependents who need immediate access to new basic necessities (e.g. healthy food, gift cards, menstrual items, baby products), safe shelter, resources, and assistance programs. We are grateful for your support during this critical time.
