It has been reported that at least 24 people have been killed in a fire in Osaka Japan.

Around 10 am on Friday, a deadly fire broke out in an office building that was the spot for a mental health clinic. As reported, it is still unclear but police investigators have possibly found the link to how the fire started.

Just minutes before, an older gentleman, possibly in his 60’s was seen carrying a duffle bag that looked like it was dripping liquid into the building. With this footage, Japanese police believe that this could be arson.

As the fire broke out, firefighters managed to get the flames out in around 30 minutes, but the amount of damage had responders working until the evening. From the 4th floor to the sixth floor it was said that windows were blown out and covered in blue tarp.

As per laws in Japan, only a doctor can declare someone dead, so for many in the building, especially friends and family, many people did not know the outcome of the fire for their family members.

It has now been declared that at least 24 people have been declared dead, and more to follow as there were at least 28 people in the building.
